Hi, I'm sam

and i bloody love a wedding

After spending 13 years in the hospitality industry working at hundreds of weddings, I decided to turn my lifelong passion for photography into my own business.

Because of all that time spent on the other side of the day, my philosophy is dead simple: weddings should actually be fun.

I’m not the kind of photographer who’s going to show up with a massive ego, take over your day, or turn your wedding into a rigid production line. I’m just a normal, down-to-earth bloke who loves a laugh and treats your guests like mates.

Because I’m super relaxed, it rubs off on you and your guests. You get to completely be yourselves, forget the camera is even there, and actually enjoy the party you’ve spent months planning.

If you’re looking for a photographer who’ll put you completely at ease, have a proper laugh with you, and deliver stunning images without the fuss, you’ve come to the right place.

This is Baz, my best pal and professional ruiner of car seats.

a few random things about me:

what do you do on your days off?

You’ll usually find me out hiking or camping across the Highlands and islands, trying to keep my indoor plants alive (a massive work in progress), or out walking with Baz. Otherwise, I’m probably fixing something around the house or on the car, playing the guitar, or going down a proper YouTube rabbit hole on whatever’s caught my interest that day.

Any hidden talents?

I’ve played the guitar for over 20 years and still spend way too long learning entirely useless stuff on it (like the Super Mario theme). I can also solve a Rubik’s cube if needed!

What movie or TV show can you quote without thinking?

Peep Show or Alan Partridge, which probably says a lot about my sense of humour...

favourite place in scotland?

Me and my wife visited Arran in 2024 and wild-camped on the beach, drinking wine and watching the sunset, and I'd do that every day if I could...

Favourite drink?

I'm a simple creature and love a beer, whisky (preferably something peaty that tastes like a campfire), or wine.

food you'd never turn down?

I think I could happily eat a curry for every meal, I don't think my wife would appreciate it though!

"I can’t speak highly enough of the work that Sam carried out for our wedding. From meeting before and to the day of the wedding he was very easy to work with and we’re delighted with the exceptional service he provided. His attention to detail and relaxed approach made us so comfortable on the day, and it shows in the photos. We couldn’t be happier with all of the photos, they really captured the day well and brought back all the emotions we went through"
